MELLOR THRILLED WITH WINNING STRIKE

Neil Mellor said he was thrilled to score the winning goal for Liverpool in the 2-1 win over Arsenal.

It was a dramatic strike and in the last seconds of the match when Mellor struck a fantastic shot to send it into the Kop net for his first Premiership goal for Liverpool.

Mellor said: "The ball just dropped and I hit it, in front of the Kop in the last minute, against one of the top sides in Europe.

"I went into it like any ordinary game. The lads and the manager have been supportive of me and I came up with the goods in the last minute, which was nice."It is like a dream for me and I'll remember this moment for a long time."
